Vancouver, WA – The SW Washington Wind Symphony opens its fourth season by showcasing band classics from the early 20th century and the "Blues" in its concert on Sunday, November 2, at 3:00 pm at the Mountain View High School auditorium. Local piano virtu oso, Cinda Goold Redman, joins the wind symphony to perform George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." Along with a wealth of experience in music education, television, and the recording industry, Ms. Redman is past president of the Clark County Music Teachers' Association and is District IV Vice President of the SW Washington region of the Washington State Music Teachers' Association.
The SW Washington Wind Symphony is a 55-member, professional quality concert band; 70% are music educators from the Clark county area and others are talented musicians from a variety of professions
All SW Washington Wind Symphony concerts are FREE and open to the public.
Mountain View High School is located at 1500 SE Blairmont Drive in Vancouver, Washington (south of SE Mill Plain Blvd and SE Parkcrest Ave. in East Vancouver).
